Craps
Craps is one of the most exciting table games found at bricks and mortar (land based) casinos today. Whenever movies and TV shows show characters wildly jumping around at casinos, 99% of the time they are at the craps table.
This wild casino game is played at a specially made table, called a 'craps table'. The table itself consists of three areas, and one center area. Each side is a reflection of the other and is divided sections that name the various bets players can make; Pass and Don't Pass line bets, Come and Don't Come bets, Odds bet, Place bets and Field bets, and the center area is reserved for Proposition bets.
There are four casino employees working at a craps table, the stickman, boxman and two dealers.
Up to 20 people can play at a craps table at once, but only one player gets to handle the dice. This player, called the shooter, then throws or shoots the dice. The shooter's bets are placed in connection to the table, while observing player's bets are placed on the thrower.
When a player receives the dice he must make his Come Out roll, in every roll the shooter must shoot with only one hand. This roll marks the beginning of a new craps game. When a shooter fails to make a winning roll the game ends and the dice are offered to the person to the left of the shooter.
A craps game will continue on until a player makes a losing roll, but shooting is not required of any player at the craps table. If you are enjoying your laid back craps watching experience, all you have to do is pass on the dice and they will continue on to the left.
So any time you are looking for the most exciting game in a live casino, check out the craps table. It promises to be full of excitement.
